The story behind Barn Dance Revival We started hosting barn dances to bring people together and we were blown away by the response. This turned out to be more needed than ever. It has built a community that we didn't expect or deserve. And those people come together regularly and they're in each other's lives now. It's something that parents, children, the whole family, even up to grandparents can get involved in. This is something that we would want everybody to have a part of. I have always loved barn dancing and I learned about barn dancing when I was a teenager and I just never let go. And it's just something so unique because it brings everybody together so quickly. One second you're standing there, the next second you're dancing with your friends and you just feel like part of the group, even if you've never done it before. It's your first time. You can jump right in. So barn dancing is a little bit different than a lot of other kinds of dancing because everybody comes and gets together and you don't have to know anything to be able to start dancing. Which is what is so great and makes it so easy. A barn dance caller is going to call out the steps all throughout the dance so that you can focus on just dancing and having fun and not having to worry about remembering all of the different steps that you're doing. And they're going to teach you every single move that you need to know. All of the moves are very simple, very easy to follow along. And then you all practice it together. It's so easy, so easy to jump in even if you've never done this dancing before. Most of the time if you want to host a barn dance, you're going to have to go and find a caller, hire them to come in. And unfortunately nowadays callers are just not that easy to find. But one of the great things about Barn Dance Revival is that we're going to teach you how to be a caller. You're going to learn all of the steps, you're going to learn the calls and you're going to be able to call your own barn dances. We started out doing barn dancing just in our house, in our yard, in our barn, just for friends, just to have fun. And now people are asking us to come and do barn dances for wedding receptions or do them for a family reunion, do them for a graduation party. Barn dancing is spreading all over the place and everybody is having fun with it.
